Job summary

Phaxis seeks a hands-on AI/ML engineer to design, develop, and deploy scalable AI/ML solutions in a hybrid New York environment.

You will analyze large datasets, identify trends, and translate complex findings into actionable business insights for cross-functional leaders. You will iteratively improve models using state-of-the-art methods, including GenAI, LLMs, and cloud-based pipelines.

Hybrid work: 2 days remote and 3 days onsite in NYC.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in AI/ML algorithms and applying ML/DL techniques to real-world problems.
• Proficient in Python or R for advanced analytics.
• Experience with Decision Tree, XGBoost, Tree Models, RAG and LLM.
• Cloud experience with Azure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Senior AI/ML Engineers to design, develop, and deploy scalable AI/ML solutions that improve business outcomes.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends and opportunities for AI/ML-driven optimizations.
• Communicate complex AI/ML findings to business leaders, providing actionable insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making.
• Continuously improve AI/ML models by testing, evaluating, and fine-tuning algorithms to ensure optimal performance and alignment with business goals.
• Understand of Agentic AI / GenAI / AI Agents.
