Job summary

Placements24 seeks an AI Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy and maintain scalable infrastructure for large-scale AI workloads, leveraging cloud and on-premise resources.

The role emphasizes building robust CI/CD pipelines, managing multi-cloud environments, and ensuring security and performance across AI platforms within a hybrid work model that includes collaboration in the Paarl office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or MLOps.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible).
• Understanding of AI/ML concepts and workflows is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and resilient infrastructure for AI/ML workloads.
• Manage cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premise compute clusters.
• Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines for ML models and infrastructure deployment.
• Ensure the availability, performance, and security of AI infrastructure.
• Work with data scientists and engineers to meet their infrastructure needs and troubleshoot issues.
• Automate infrastructure management tasks using scripting and configuration management tools.
