Job summary

McKesson is seeking a Senior AI-First Full Stack Engineer to build the next generation of intelligent healthcare technology solutions supporting one of the nation’s leading specialty pharmacy organizations.

The engineer will work across the full software lifecycle, applying AI and modern web technologies to deliver production-grade applications powered by REST APIs, cloud-native platforms, LLMs, and AI agents in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Hands-on experience with Java, Node.js, C#, Python or equivalent backend tech
• Experience building front-end apps with React and TypeScript
• Experience designing REST APIs, microservices and enterprise integrations
• Experience deploying cloud-native apps on Microsoft Azure
• Experience with CI/CD, SDLC and Agile practices
• Experience as a technical lead for an enterprise app or platform

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered applications using Claude, Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, and Azure AI Services.
• Partner with stakeholders to define problems, validate workflows, and prototype solutions.
• Build RAG solutions, prompt frameworks, AI workflows, and human-in-the-loop controls.
• Develop full stack apps using React, TypeScript, Python, C#, Java, Node.js, and .NET.
• Design REST APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Integrate AI capabilities with ServiceNow, Salesforce, Snowflake, Databricks, Power BI, and other platforms.
• Develop cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure with secure DevOps practices.
• Build CI/CD pipelines, IaC, containers, and Kubernetes deployments.
• Serve as technical owner, establish architecture standards and production-readiness criteria.
• Lead modernization, reduce technical debt, improve resiliency, and conduct design reviews.
