Job summary

Augusta Technical College is seeking an Adjunct Adult Education Instructor for Hybrid Morning (Online/In-person) schedules. You will deliver classroom instruction and assess student progress toward goals.

Responsibilities include identifying student goals, delivering face-to-face and online instruction across reading, math, science, social studies, and language skills, and developing lesson plans aligned to standards-based instruction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited post-secondary institution is required.
• Must be able to instruct between 8am–1pm Mon-Thu, Online and In-Person.
• Must be able to work on campus at least twice per week.
• Must be able to attend staff meetings, local staff developments, and required training.

Responsibilities

• Identify student goals based on individual pre-assessments.
• Provide instruction face-to-face and virtually.
• Teach Adult Education classes in reading, math, science, social studies, and language skills based on individualized learning needs.
• Deliver effective instruction based on Standards-Based Instruction.
• Plan, develop, and implement lessons requiring higher-order thinking skills.
• Develop individualized student education plans and post-test students.
• Submit student attendance weekly.
• Monitor student data weekly.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule to accommodate students.
• Other duties as assigned.
