NICO National Indemnity Company in Omaha, NE seeks an Accountant to coordinate, compile, review, analyze, reconcile, and interpret financial information and prepare working papers for GAAP and statutory statements. Hybrid up to 50% at manager discretion; not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities include coordinating daily to year-end financial reporting, auditing support, and potential supervision of interns. Requires a Bachelor's degree and 1+ years of experience; CPA or MBA preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
• One or more years work experience.
• Preferred License or Certification: CPA certificate or MBA.

Aufgaben

• Compiles, reviews, analyzes and reconciles, and interprets financial information.
• Reconciles investment and cash accounts and basic general ledger reconciliations.
• Coordinates communication of daily, monthly, and year end accounting and financial statements.
• Reviews and suggests improvements for the design and maintenance of processes for financial reporting and data balancing.
• Responds to inquiries from internal and external auditors, state regulators, and others regarding financial transactions, balances, and procedures.
• May supervise interns and assign projects including auditing daily disbursement requests and payments.
