Job summary

PTR Global is seeking an Ab Initio Data Engineer on a contingent basis in Charlotte, NC. This contract role involves designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions with a focus on performance and reliability.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering and has hands-on experience with Java, Python, and C++. The position offers 3 days onsite and 2 days remote work, with a pay rate of $55–$60 per hour on W2.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Software Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Python, C++, or similar.
• Experience with software development frameworks and tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications to meet business requirements.
