Hy-Vee is hiring a Hy-Chi Department Clerk in Minnesota. You will fill customer orders, prepare and replenish product, and deliver friendly service while keeping the department clean and organized.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting every customer with a smile and assisting them throughout the store.
• Review daily orders and ensure adequate Hy-Chi food supply by following a production list.
• Prepare, finish, and replenish products; pull items from cooler/freezer as needed for cooking.
• Check food freshness, maintain quality standards, and monitor appearance during shifts.
• Check in product, store it properly, and review invoices as required.
• Run the department register, process payments, and provide correct change.
• Maintain sanitation; keep work area clean, neat, and safe at all times.
• Remove trash promptly and wash dishes as needed.
• Order product and supplies and price products for customers.
• Answer phones promptly and provide friendly service to callers, including taking orders.
• Follow Hy-Vee dress code and department guidelines; assist with other tasks as needed.

What You’ll Do

• Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting every customer with a smile, taking orders at the Hy-Chi counter, and assisting them with their needs throughout the store
• Review orders for the day and ensure an adequate food supply is ready and on hand by developing or following a production list
• Prepare, finish, and replenish product as necessary and pull product from the cooler or freezer to prepare for cooking
• Review the status and appearance of food for freshness and maintain quality standards throughout the shift
• Check in product, put product away, and review invoices as needed
• Run the department register, receive payment, and make change as applicable
• Practice proper sanitation procedures and keep the work area clean, neat, and safe at all times
• Remove trash in a timely manner and wash dishes as necessary
• Order product and supplies and price product for customers as needed
• Answer the phone promptly and provide friendly, helpful service to customers who call, including taking customer orders
• Follow Hy-Vee's dress code, hygiene standards, and all department and company guidelines
• Pitch in with other tasks or special projects as they come up

Reporting Relationships

Accountable and Reports to: Store Director; Store Manager; Assistant Managers of Store Operations, Perishables, Health Wellness Home; Hy-Chi Department Manager; Assistant Hy-Chi Department Manager; Service Managers

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent experience
• Up to six months of similar or related experience; we’ll provide all the training you need to succeed

Physical Requirements

Frequently stand and walk throughout a shift in sales, food service, or delivery areas

Where applicable to the role: ability to safely use sharp knives and blades for food preparation

Where applicable to the role: exposure to heat- and burn-related hazards associated with cooking, baking, or grilling equipment

Where applicable to the role: ability to operate a delivery vehicle in accordance with applicable DOT standards

Perform repetitive standing, walking, reaching, and bending associated with order fulfillment, POS transactions, and cleaning/sanitation duties

Working Environment

This is a fast-moving role with significant pressure to meet demands throughout your shift. You'll work in the Hy-Chi department and can expect regular exposure to flour, dust, noise, and temperature extremes, as well as occasional exposure to cleaning chemicals and solvents. Safety is always a priority, and training is provided to help ensure a safe and supportive work environment.

The anticipated hourly starting wage for this position is $11.50 to $14.40 depending on experience.
