Job summary

RTX in Tucson is seeking engineers to design, develop and integrate missile flight simulation systems on multidisciplinary teams. You’ll work onsite at our Tucson campus on analog/digital/RF design and FPGA/VHDL/Verilog, with responsibilities spanning circuitry, schematics, and integration.

Candidate should hold a STEM degree with 2+ years of relevant experience and be eligible for a DoD Secret clearance. Relocation may be offered; travel up to 20% may be required depending on project needs.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a degree in STEM and a minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience performing analog, digital, and/or RF design, or VHDL/Verilog development for FPGAs.
  • Active and transferable DoD Secret clearance is required prior to start date.

Responsibilities

  • Design, development, and integration of missile flight simulation systems as part of multidiscipline teams.
  • Develop engineering and test interfaces, cabling, schematics, and circuit design analyses.
  • Manage technical, cost, and schedule aspects of assigned projects, meeting milestones.
  • Work independently or with the team to resolve issues in complex systems.

What You Will Do
  • You will be a member of multidiscipline engineering teams performing design, development, and integration of missile flight simulation systems.
  • Typical work involves the development of these engineering, test interface adapters, cabling, technical drawing creation, schematic creation, circuit design and analysis.
  • Your work will be responsible for performing technical, cost and schedule management of their assigned projects.
  • You will be expected to act, either as a part of the team or independently, to uncover and resolve issues associated with the development and implementation of these complex systems.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience performing analog, digital, and/or RF design, or VHDL/Verilog development for FPGAs.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Experience with test equipment, such as: Oscilloscopes, DMMs, Network Analyzers, Power Meters, etc.
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams
  • Experience with hardware integration
  • Experience with FPGA or firmware
  • Willing to perform business travel up to 20% of the time.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
