Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking HVAC systems mechanics to join our team to service light to heavy commercial markets, equipped with STA certification, advanced equipment, and a commitment to safety. The position offers a vehicle and tools to perform at the highest standard while delivering solutions that improve building efficiency.

Based in the Chattanooga area, the role requires five years of HVAC mechanical troubleshooting, strong communication skills, and the ability to obtain a 30-hour OSHA

Qualifications

  • Five (5) years Commercial and/or industrial, mechanical troubleshooting experience in the HVAC industry.
  • Ability to commit to a 30-Hour OSHA Certification which is to be done after hours and weekends is required upon hire
  • Computer savvy with good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Seven (7) years of Commercial and or industrial work experience in the HVAC industry
  • Refrigeration Certification preferred
  • EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification

  • Perform maintenance, repair and replacement services on commercial heating and cooling systems.

What you will do

Do you have HVAC experience? We are looking for HVAC systems mechanics who have worked in light commercial and/or heavy commercial markets to join our team to work with the most advanced heavy commercial and industrial cutting-edge equipment.

Provide our customers with the highest level of service to solve building inefficiencies and resolve service-related items. How will you do it

Mechanics must have practical working experience in light commercial or commercial mechanical equipment. May be required to satisfactorily pass an examination to identify special skills. Scope of work shall be limited to commercial HVACR service. Servicemen may partner with Journeymen in the repair of centrifugal, steam turbines, and absorption machines, open-drive screw chillers and ammonia systems. Perform maintenance, repair and replacement services on commercial heating and cooling systems. Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure facility is running efficiently to include upselling opportunities. Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.

What we look for
Required
  • Five (5) years Commercial and/or industrial, mechanical troubleshooting experience in the HVAC industry.

Pay Range: $36.15/HR. Hourly rate determined by the CBA/rate sheet. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role.
