Job summary

Taco Canada Ltd. in Cranston, RI, is seeking a Test Technician to join our on-site lab team. You will design, run, and document tests on HVAC products and life-cycle test stands, ensuring data accuracy and safety standards.

Responsibilities include measuring and assembling test stands, wiring relays and sensors, and recording results for reports. Candidates should have a high school diploma and basic knowledge of electricity and HVAC concepts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic knowledge of electricity, plumbing, and/or HVAC concepts is required.
• Experience with recording data and organizing data is expected.

Responsibilities

• Measures, cuts, threads and/or solders pipe to build test stands per drawings.
• Wiring of relays, timers, switches, actuators, pumps, and other components for tests.
• Performs conventional product performance tests and records results for reports.
• Works with computer data acquisition systems and spreadsheets; treats data confidentially.
• Installs test equipment such as pipes, thermocouples, flowmeters, sensors and meters.
• Assists with servicing life cycle test stands and maintaining equipment.
• Maintains lab tools and area in good order and safety protocols.
