Job summary

MTA Metro-North Railroad is seeking HVAC Technicians to service, maintain, troubleshoot, repair and install heating ventilation air conditioning systems at Grand Central Terminal.

You will work with ice machines, refrigerators and water cooling systems, performing preventative maintenance, testing components, and collaborating with building management systems to ensure reliable operations in a high-traffic transportation hub.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent required.
• Two years experience installing or repairing HVAC or refrigeration equipment or HVAC certificate.
• HVAC/Refrigeration apprenticeship preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on HVAC systems and related equipment.
• Read and interpret prints and schematics to troubleshoot.
• Test and calibrate controls and sensors to ensure proper operation.
• Install and connect heating/cooling components and refrigerant lines.
