Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-year college/technical certificate preferred.
• Refrigerant Recovery and Handling Certification - Universal or obtain within 180 days.
• Valid Texas Class C Driver’s License with driving record per District requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain HVAC/Refrigeration systems in district facilities.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair equipment.
• Install, modify, and repair air handling equipment, controls, and related systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety, electrical, and environmental regulations.
• Maintain records of equipment and service activities.
• Assist in training other technicians and supervise junior staff as needed.
