Sunbelt Rentals is hiring an HVAC Technician I to professionally deliver portable HVAC equipment, train customers on safe operation, and keep shop equipment organized and ready for rental. The role mainly works in the shop while also supporting on-site deliveries and service calls.

The candidate should have 1–2 years in a service role, basic math, and mechanical aptitude, plus a valid driver's license. A competitive benefits package is offered, with39 paid time off and on-call duties.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in a service-related role interacting with customers.
• Must possess basic math skills.
• Must be mechanically inclined.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record with no points.
• Must be at least 21 years or older.
• Able to work some after-hours and weekends during peak times.

Responsibilities

• Communicates professionally with customers, managers and sales engineers to schedule deliveries and service calls.
• Delivers and installs rented HVAC equipment and trains the operator on safe use.
• Directs customers to sign paperwork and tracks serial numbers.
• Troubleshoots operation, specs, capabilities and controls of equipment.
• Operates company vehicle safely and follows safety policies.
• Cleans and tests returned equipment to ensure operation and appearance.
• Completes paperwork for deliveries, pickups and service calls.
• Installs gas hose on propane and natural gas applications.
• Checks gas connections safely.
• Maintains records of in-stock and rented equipment with managers and sales engineers.
• On-call for emergency service on weekends and evenings.
