Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a HVAC Technician 1 in Round Rock to professionally deliver, install, and service portable HVAC equipment for customers. The role emphasizes safe operation, customer communication, and keeping the shop organized and stocked for service readiness.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in a service role, basic math skills, and a mechanical aptitude, with a valid driver\'s license and clean driving record. Some after-hours/weekend work is required.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in a service-related role with customers
• Must possess basic math skills
• Must be mechanically inclined
• Must have a valid driver\'s license and a clean driving record
• Must be at least 21 years old and able to work some after-hours/weekends

Responsibilities

• Communicate professionally with customers, managers and sales engineers to schedule deliveries, pick-ups and service calls
• Deliver and install rented HVAC equipment and train the operator or customer on safe use
• Direct customers to sign paperwork and track serial numbers
• Troubleshoot operation, function and controls of rental equipment
• Operate company vehicle safely and follow safety policies
• Clean and test returned equipment and ensure it meets standards
• Complete paperwork for deliveries, pick-ups and service calls
• Install gas hoses for propane and natural gas applications
• Check gas connections safely and accurately
• Maintain records of in-stock and rented equipment
• Be on call for emergency service on weekends/evenings
