Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan, is seeking an HVAC Technician/Electrical for Plant Service to maintain, repair, and install HVAC and refrigeration systems across campus housing and buildings.
Role includes rotating weekend on-call duties and rapid response to emergencies. Ideal candidates hold an associate degree or 1–2 years related experience, and possess electrical trade knowledge and a valid driver's license.

Maintains, repairs, and installs power on H.V.A.C. and Refrigeration equipment in campus housing and university buildings by performing the following duties.
Maintains, inspects and installs all heating, air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment, fans, vacuum pumps, air compressors, vents, ducts, and pneumatic and DDC control systems on the university campus Rotates weekend shifts to take call for emergency service calls including repairs beyond normal work hours as required. May be called in at any time to assist with emergency repairs as needed. When on normal call rotation the response time to an emergency should not exceed more than thirty minutes.
Associate Degree from college technical school, or one to two years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Working knowledge of computer programs essential to energy-management / boiler room operations.Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing.
