Job summary

Trane Technologies seeks an on-site HVAC technician to install and repair equipment at customer locations, forecast issues, and ensure customer satisfaction. You will use handheld devices and Microsoft Office, and bring EPA certification with 5+ years of HVAC experience.

This field-based role requires a valid driver’s license, flexibility for overtime, and offers comprehensive benefits to support you and your family.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with team leader/project manager and customer to forecast issues, gather materials and synchronize on-site work.
• Represent the company as the direct customer contact and manage products/equipment on assigned projects to ensure satisfaction.
• Use software/hand tools to diagnose and repair units following blueprints or specifications.
• Maintain flexibility to work overtime and weekends, including overnight stays when required.
• Enforce safety to the highest standards and account for company assets.

Where is the work:

Field-based: Work is conducted on-site at customer locations.

What you will do:

• Coordinates with team leader/project manager and customer to precisely understand requirements for all on-site installation and repairs by forecasting issues, gathering materials and synchronizing on-site work.
• Represents the company by serving as the direct customer contact and is responsible for products and equipment on assigned projects, ensuring customer satisfaction by identifying, diagnosing and repairing equipment and systems at customer’s location.
• Uses cutting edge software and technology, along with a variety of hand-tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications, to diagnose and repair units.
• Displays team effort and dedication to customers by maintaining flexibility to work overtime and weekends as the business requires, including occasional overnight stays.
• Continually enforces safety to the highest standards and maintains security and accountability of company issued and procured assets by recording use, wear and conditions.

What you will bring:

• A High School Diploma or equivalent required, and typically 5 plus years of experience in HVAC.
• Technical School or formal training is preferred.
• Operating knowledge of Microsoft office software and working proficiency with hand held computer (i.e. Smartphone, iPad).
• Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations including, but not limited to: DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless / Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.
• EPA Certification.
• Chiller experience a plus!

Annual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range: $18.09 - $54.26 Compensation Type: Hourly Incentive Eligible: No Sales Commission Eligible: No Disclaimer: We strive to provide competitive compensation for this position, tailored to a variety of factors. Our compensation range is generally based on the national average for the country.
