Job summary

Heating and Air Paramedics in Raleigh, NC is seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to service and install residential and light commercial systems. You will diagnose, repair, replace, and install HVAC equipment, and build strong customer rapport on every job.

The role requires EPA certification, a valid driver's license, and hands-on experience with heat pumps, air handlers, coils, and brazing. A team-player attitude and ability to lift up to 70 pounds are essential.

• Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring.
• Commercial experience is helpful but not required.

We are looking for a skilled and experienced HVAC Technician to join our team! In this role, you will perform service and install/replace heating and air conditioning systems in residences and some light commercial establishments.

You have past experience being a HVAC Installer and hold an EPA certification. You also have service experience. A team player who is comfortable working independently, you love the feeling of a job well done and take pride in completing customer jobs with efficiency. A positive attitude is a must!

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, replace and install heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to improve efficiency
• Establish customer rapport to ensure the highest levels of satisfaction
• Test pipe or tubing joints or connections for leaks, using a pressure gauge or soap-and-water solution
• Test electrical circuits or components for continuity, using electrical test equipment
• Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring
• Commercial experience is helpful, but not required

Qualifications

• 2 years minimum experience as a HVAC Installer (Split systems, package units, mini-splits)
• 2 years minimum experience as a HVAC Service Technician
• Valid Drivers License with clean driving record
• EPA Certification
• Experience with operation and maintenance of heat pumps, and air handlers.
• Experience brazing and replacing coils, air handlers, condensers, compressors.
• Ability to climb ladders, crawl, and lift 70 pounds
