Job summary

Cherry Hill Free Clinic seeks an experienced industrial maintenance technician to maintain and operate ammonia refrigeration systems in a food processing environment. You will test and treat evaporative condenser water, monitor performance, and support safety and compliance efforts.

The role requires troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, reading blueprints and schematics, and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Understanding of Anhydrous Ammonia Refrigeration systems and Operator Level 1 certification.
• Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read blueprints, P&IDs, and schematics.
• Willingness to wear respirators and participate in Hazmat team.
• Commitment to safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to work weekends and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include chemical testing and treatment of evaporative condenser water, monitoring system performance, optimizing operations with Logix, and supporting safety and compliance efforts. The role requires troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, maintaining plant equipment, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications & Skills

• At least 3 years of industrial maintenance experience
• Understanding of Anhydrous Ammonia Refrigeration systems and certification (Operator Level 1)
• Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude
• Ability to interpret blueprints, P&IDs, and schematics
• Willingness to wear respirators and participate in Hazmat team
• Commitment to safety policies and procedures
• Ability to work weekends and in a team environment

Additional Skills (Preferred)

• Computer literacy, SAP/PPE systems knowledge
• Maintenance experience in a food processing setting
• Knowledge of waste water, HVAC, boiler, and compressed air systems
