Job summary

JLL is seeking a skilled Facilities Engineer at our Coopersburg, PA site to maintain and repair facility systems. The role demands strong HVAC expertise, multi-discipline know-how, and readiness for call-in work with occasional overtime.

You will monitor HVAC and electrical systems, troubleshoot issues, perform repairs, and ensure reliable operation of pumps, piping, and controls. A valid driver’s license and OSHA familiarity are required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of OSHA standards and local codes
• Minimum 4 years of technical experience in all aspects of building engineering with a strong background in HVAC, plumbing, electrical equipment repair and maintenance
• Niagara/Tridium experience
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Experience operating electric tools, ladder work, carrying tools, lifting up to 70 pounds, and safe vehicle operation
• Valid Driver's license

Responsibilities

• Monitor and adjust HVAC, electrical, emergency backup power systems and hot water systems
• Maintain and repair chilled water and air conditioning equipment, hot water heaters, pumps, piping, and filters
• Analyze system operation, identify malfunctions, and take corrective actions to restore operation
• Report equipment problems or material shortages to Chief Engineer
• Install and repair plumbing, piping, and electrical controls; operate motors and 480-volt controls
• Work safely with tools and on ladders, lifting up to 70 pounds

This position has a strong focus on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility equipment systems. A very high percentage of \"wrench time\" is expected. Candidates are required to demonstrate technical expertise in HVAC maintenance and troubleshooting and be multi-skilled in other areas of building automation systems, pipefitting, plumbing, electrical, and refrigeration to successfully complete daily/weekly work assignments. The individual in the role must be available for call-in work and perform other duties as required. Some overtime should be expected.

What your day-to-day will look like

• Monitor and adjust HVAC, electrical, emergency backup power systems and hot water systems


• Monitor operation, adjust, and maintain chilled water and air conditioning equipment, hot water heaters, pumps, valving, piping, and filters.


• Requires the ability to monitor and analyze the operation of various systems, determine the cause of any problems/malfunctions, and takes corrective actions as require restoring operation.


• Reports any equipment problems, impending supply, or material shortages to the Chief Engineer.


• Install and repair plumbing, piping, tubing; wire electrical controls and single and three phase motors.


• Maintain and repair 480-volt electrical controls, electrical switching, and motor controls


• Skilled and physically able to operate electric tools, work on a ladder, carry tools, lift, and carry loads up to 70 pounds and safely operate a motor vehicle

Required Qualifications

• Knowledge of OSHA standards and local codes


• Minimum 4 years of technical experience in all aspects of building engineering with a strong background in the technical aspects of HVAC, plumbing, electrical equipment repair and maintenance.


• Niagara/Tridium experience


• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Project, Microsoft office Outlook, Word, and Excel


• Experience in operating electric tools, working on a ladder, carrying tools, lifting, and carrying loads up to 70 pounds and safely operate a motor vehicle


• Valid Driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Corrigo or other CMMS systems


• EPA 608 Universal license

Work Schedule

• Location:Onsite at Coopersburg, PA


• Schedule: Monday-Friday, flexible 7:00 AM-3:30 PM or 8:00 AM-4:30 PM. Occasional OT as needed
