Job summary

RAM Hotels in Columbus, Georgia is seeking an HVAC Technician to install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems to control indoor climate. You will service PTACS/VTAC units including Amana and GE models and perform preventative maintenance across multiple systems.

Responsibilities include scheduled maintenance, repairs, and coordination with schedulers and clients.

Qualifications

• HVAC technician role requiring installation, maintenance and repair of HVAC/R systems.
• Experience with Amana and GE PTACS and VTAC units is preferred.
• Strong understanding of HVAC principles and relevant codes.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and service/repair of HVAC mechanical systems and subsystems.
• Maintain, repair, and install HVAC/R equipment and support systems.
• Collaborate with technicians, schedulers and material coordinators for service planning and cost estimates.
• Review system data with facilities/engineer team to suggest maintenance changes or upgrades.

The HVAC technician installs, maintains, and repairs heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems to control indoor temperature, humidity, and air quality. Highly experienced and knowledgeable with repairing Amana and GE Packaged Terminal Air Conditioner (PTACS) and Vertical Terminal Air Conditioner (VTAC) units.

• Perform scheduled in-depth preventative maintenance and service/repair of HVAC mechanical systems and sub-systems, , pneumatic and DDC control systems, air-handling evaporation systems, chillers, rooftop equip., split systems, window units, heating/cooling water circulation systems, relater fans, piping, pumps, and other components
• Perform maintenance and repairs to the Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, components of a HVAC system
• Maintains, repairs, and replaces or installs a broad range of HVAC/R equipment and support systems for embassy operation and maintenance activities
• Understanding of air conditioning principles / systems and the relevant codes and industry standards that govern the maintenance of HVAC equipment
• Responsible for performing maintenance on a variety of HVAC equipment as required by the customer
• Communicates with technicians, schedulers and material coordinators throughout the maintenance and repair processes to include scheduling the service, providing cost estimates, informing the customer of unexpected repairs and determining customer satisfaction
• Collaborating with the head of facilities to review and analyzing system data (reliability, 1 calls, etc.) and developing initial recommendations on any maintenance changes, upgrades, replacements
