Role Description This is a full-time, on-site HVAC Technician role based in Cleveland, OH. The HVAC Technician installs, maintains, and repairs residential and light commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, following safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Responsibilities include diagnosing system issues, performing routine inspections, completing preventive maintenance, and recommending repair or replacement options to customers. The role involves interacting directly with customers to explain findings, provide service estimates, and ensure a clean and orderly work area after each visit. The HVAC Technician also completes required documentation, uses company tools and technology for dispatch and reporting, and collaborates with team members and supervisors to meet service goals.

Qualifications

• Ability to install, service, and repair HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and related components.
• Knowledge of HVAC diagnostics, troubleshooting methods, and preventive maintenance practices.
• Understanding of electrical and mechanical principles related to HVAC equipment, including reading wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Familiarity with local building codes, safety regulations, and EPA guidelines for handling refrigerants.
• Strong customer service skills, including clear communication, professional conduct, and the ability to explain technical issues in accessible terms.
• Capability to work independently in the field, manage time effectively, and complete work orders accurately on mobile or digital platforms.
• Physical ability to lift equipment and materials, work in confined spaces or at heights, and operate tools and testing instruments safely.
• Relevant HVAC certification or license as required by Ohio regulations; EPA Section 608 certification preferred.
• Previous experience as an HVAC technician or in a related trades role; residential service experience is an advantage.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and ability to pass applicable background checks as required.
