Essel is seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to install, maintain and repair heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems in residential and commercial properties. You will diagnose issues, explain repair options to homeowners and ensure responsive customer service during service calls.

Primary duties include installing and inspecting HVAC units, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical faults, and coordinating with customers and other trades to keep systems running safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Experience in both residential and commercial HVAC systems.
• Minimum of 3 years hands-on HVAC experience.
• Ability to diagnose using schematics, electrical and diagnostic tools.
• EPA certification preferred.
• Clean driving record.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Experience with building automation systems is a plus.

Job Overview

As a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician, you’ll install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair heating, cooling, and refrigeration equipment in buildings and properties.

With a keen focus on customer service and technical competence on repair and install.

You’ll use schematics, hand tools, and diagnostic equipment to identify issues, explain repair options, and deliver responsive customer service.

Duties

• Install, inspect, and maintain HVAC systems, air conditioning units, boilers, and refrigeration equipment.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues using schematics, an ohmmeter, and other appropriate tools; complete equipment and mechanical systems repairs.
• Troubleshoot HVAC/R equipment, including ammonia refrigeration systems where applicable, and document work performed.
• Support property maintenance by coordinating with customers and other trades, including plumbing, as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction, property maintenance, or a related technician role is helpful.
• Experience with both residential and commercial HVAC systems is required.
• 3 years of hands-on HVAC experience is required.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting, repairing, and installing HVAC units is required.
• Working knowledge of HVAC design, mechanical systems, electrical systems, and refrigeration.
• Experience with building automation systems and proficiency with HVAC hand tools.
• Experience explaining repair options to homeowners and handling service calls is required.
• EPA certification is preferred.
• Clean driving record required.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
