Job summary

Loudoun Water in Ashburn, VA, is seeking an HVAC Technician in the Plant Maintenance department to ensure reliable operation of HVAC systems at water treatment, distribution, and storage facilities.

You will troubleshoot, perform preventative and corrective maintenance on chillers, boilers, air handlers, rooftop units, and related equipment, and monitor controls via the Building Management System (BMS) to optimize performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• HVAC Journeyman's License or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• CFC certification.
• A2L refrigerant certification.
• 410A refrigerant certification.
• OSHA 10 or 30 hour certification.
• Experience with Building Management System (BMS) for HVAC operation and maintenance.
• Solid understanding of HVAC principles, electrical theory, and electronics.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate HVAC equipment across Loudoun Water facilities.
• Diagnose and repair HVAC equipment and control systems.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on chillers, boilers, air handlers, condensers, fans, and related components.
• Monitor and optimize performance via the Building Management System (BMS).

We are seeking a HVAC Technician in the Plant Maintenance department who will support the HVAC Department by ensuring effective maintenance and operation of HVAC equipment at water and water reclamation treatment facilities, water distribution and storage systems, and conveyance systems. This position requires skills in troubleshooting to diagnose, and repair HVAC equipment and control systems. HVAC Technicians will perform preventative and corrective maintenance on variety of HVAC equipment including but not limited to: chillers, dual fuel boilers, split system, air handlers, air condensing units, supply/exhaust fans, hot water heaters, compressors, vacuum systems, make-up air units, and roof-top units.

Requirements

• Graduation from high school or GED.
• Possession of a valid HVAC Journeyman's License or ability to obtain within 12-months of employment.
• Possession of Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification.
• Possession of A2L refrigerant certification.
• Possession of 410A refrigerant certification.
• Possession of OSHA 10-hour or 30-hLevelour Certification.
• Experience in utilizing a BMS (building management system) for operation, control, and maintenance of HVAC systems.
• Basic knowledge and understanding of heating and air conditioning principles and theory, electrical theory, analogue and digital electronics, etc. necessary for the HVAC trade.

Salary Range: $65,000-$82,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience. Position will remain open until filled. EOE
