Job summary

Dirks Companies, LLC in Alexandria, Louisiana, seeks an HVAC Service Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC systems for a federally contracted ICE residential facility. The role is fully on-site with no travel and requires U.S.

citizenship or permanent residency, English proficiency, and passings screenings and clearances. Qualified applicants have an Associate degree or HVAC apprenticeship and/or 3+ years of commercial HVAC service experience, plus an EPA

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, operations, and maintenance.
• Associate degree, HVAC apprenticeship, and/or 3+ years of commercial HVAC service experience.
• EPA refrigerant recovery certification is required.
• Ability to clearly communicate technical information related to HVAC equipment and systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues and implement corrective actions.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Test HVAC equipment and components to verify proper operation and compliance with specifications.
• Install ductwork, piping, thermostats, controls, and ventilation systems.
• Monitor system performance and recommend repairs, upgrades, or replacements.
• Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and maintenance logs.
• Perform service, maintenance, and repair work on commercial HVAC systems, including boilers and DX systems.
• Complete routine preventative maintenance on commercial HVAC equipment.

The HVAC Service Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems for the federally contracted ICE residential facility located in Alexandria, Louisiana.

Conditions of Employment:

• Employees must be a U.S. Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident.
• Employment contingent upon required screenings and clearances.
• Compliance with federal security and operational protocols required.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
• Must show proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
