Job summary

Medxcel in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to install, inspect, maintain, and repair heating, cooling, ventilation, and related systems at St. Vincent's Riverside Hospital. This is a day-shift, full-time role.

The position requires EPA Certification Level II, a high school diploma or trade school education, and about 3 years of related experience. You will work with energy-management systems and follow strict safety protocols.

Qualifications

• EPA Certification Level II preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of trade school preferred.
• 3 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Installs, inspects, maintains, and repairs heating, cooling, ventilation, refrigeration, and ice-making systems.
• Applies knowledge of steam distribution, piping, valves, water reheat systems, and energy management systems.
• Responds to after-hours emergencies, manages power outage procedures, and follows safety protocols with PPE.
• Coordinates with personnel on work orders, complies with building/safety regulations, maintains tools/vehicles in safe condition.
• Dedicates 20% of the role to meetings, training workshops, and special projects.
