Job summary

JLL in Round Rock, TX seeks an HVAC Technician to maintain and repair commercial HVAC systems across our clients' facilities. You will diagnose, service, and optimize chillers, boilers, air handlers, and rooftop units, working with a team to keep buildings safe and energy efficient.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience maintaining and repairing commercial HVAC systems.
  • EPA 608 Universal Certification.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work at heights, and navigate confined spaces.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and testing on HVAC equipment including chillers, boilers, cooling towers, air handlers, and rooftop units
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system issues to minimize equipment downtime and ensure optimal performance
  • Respond to service calls and building emergencies, troubleshoot problems efficiently and implement effective solutions
  • Monitor and adjust building automation systems (BAS) to maintain temperature control and energy efficiency standards
  • Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment conditions using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, property managers, and contractors to coordinate system upgrades and major repairs
  • Maintain compliance with all safety protocols, building codes, and environmental regulations while performing daily tasks

What this job involves

As an HVAC Tech at JLL, you will maintain critical building systems that keep our clients’ facilities running smoothly and efficiently. You will work independently and with a team to diagnose, repair, and maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across commercial properties. You will receive ongoing training on the latest HVAC technologies and building automation systems, supporting your professional growth.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with completion of a recognized HVAC technical training program or apprenticeship
  • Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience maintaining and repairing commercial HVAC systems
  • EPA 608 Universal Certification
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC mechanical systems, electrical controls, and building automation systems
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work at heights, and navigate confined spaces
Preferred qualifications
  • Journeyman or Master HVAC license (state-specific where applicable)
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
  • Experience in commercial real estate
  • Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills
Location & Schedule

Location: Round Rock, TX

Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:30pm
