Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and steam distribution systems at our sites in Illinois. The role requires the ability to read diagrams or blueprints and perform work independently with attention to safety.

Typical duties include handling electrical pneumatic devices, preparing wiring sketches, and transporting tools and materials while adhering to safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous field experience in HVAC preferred.
• Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within HVAC trades.

Responsibilities

• Installs, maintains and repairs heating, ventilating, air conditioning and steam distribution equipment and systems.
• Operates a variety of equipment as needed to perform work.
• Installs, maintains and repairs computerized electronic pneumatic devices related to HVAC Control.
• Prepares sketches showing location of wiring and equipment or follows diagrams or blueprints.
• Load, transport and unload material, tools, equipment and supplies.
• Maintains tools and equipment.
• Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules, including wearing required personal safety equipment. Performs other duties as required.

SUMMARY

Typically 3 years and above documented field experience in chosen craft discipline with ability to read and interpret instructions, document, plan, and perform work activities independently. Performs skilled, complex work in the repair, maintenance and installation of heating, ventilating, air conditioning and steam distribution equipment systems.

• Maintains tools and equipment.
