Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Lafayette, LA, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer/Designer to collaborate with a dynamic team on innovative building systems. The role involves designing HVAC systems for various facilities, including schools and hospitals. Ideal candidates have 3 to 5 years of experience in HVAC design, proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, and strong communication skills. Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of experience in HVAC design and construction.
• Solid understanding of duct design, piping design, air handlers, chiller, and boiler systems.
• Knowledge of CBC, CMC and CPC codes, DDC controls, Title 24, HAP or Energy Pro.

Responsibilities

• Design Heating, Ventilating & Air Conditioning Systems for various types of facilities.
• Produce mechanical design drawings in AutoCAD and/or Revit software.
• Perform field investigations.
• Coordinate quality control, scheduling, and programming.
• Coordinate and communicate information and progress with MEP team.
