Job summary

CIVANA Wellness Resort & Spa in Carefree, AZ is seeking an HVAC Technician to install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and refrigeration systems across the resort's facilities.

This role requires EPA Universal and HVAC/R certifications, and the ability to read blueprints and troubleshoot complex equipment. bilingual English/Spanish is preferred; valid driver's license a must.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair (commercial or resort/hospitality setting preferred).
• EPA Universal Certification required
• HVAC/R certification required
• Working knowledge of electrical systems, refrigeration cycles, and controls/BAS a plus
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

Responsibilities

• Install new heating, ventilation, AC, and refrigerant systems
• Perform routine maintenance on HVAC & refrigeration systems
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems
• Repair or replace defective parts
• Track materials used per project
• Complete service reports and warranty paperwork
• Support other Facilities teams as needed

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Ability to stand, walk, and be on feet for extended periods (up to 8-10 hours)
• Ability to work outdoors and in mechanical/rooftop spaces in extreme heat (Arizona climate, seasonal temperatures well above 100°F)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, and at heights
• Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, and reaching
• Ability to work with hand and power tools safely
• Flexibility to respond to on-call/emergency maintenance needs as required
