Job summary

James Lane Mechanical is hiring a Sheet Metal Technician to fabricate, install, and repair sheet metal ductwork for HVAC systems in commercial projects across Wichita Falls. You will read blueprints, assemble ducts, and coordinate with supervisors and other trades to ensure timely job completion.

Requirements include a high school diploma and 5+ years of duct installation/fabrication experience, plus a valid Texas Driver’s License. Ongoing training and a structured work schedule are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years of experience in commercial sheet metal duct installation and fabrication.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License and insurability.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with supervisor and other trades to complete projects and work orders.
• Install, alter and repair sheet metal ducts and hoods for HVAC using blueprints and work orders.
• Plan tasks and material amounts for completion; prepare equipment and tools.
• Assemble ducts and related sheet metal products; verify quality and compliance.
• Perform operational checks and ensure safe, clean work areas.
• Provide direction and technical assistance to less experienced workers.
• Maintain stock in vehicle and complete timely paperwork.
