Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking skilled HVAC Tradesmen to join our service team. This hands-on role offers field installations, troubleshooting, and proactive maintenance for healthcare, manufacturing, higher education, K-12, and commercial real estate customers.

You will gain factory certification through the Service Technical Academy (STA) and work under the labor agreement with the employer. As a tradesman, you will own tasks, communicate clearly, and provide practical solutions to improve

Qualifications

• Familiarity with HVAC equipment and preventive maintenance.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
• A valid driver’s license with no major or frequent traffic violations.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical installations and service work on HVAC equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems on heavy commercial/industrial equipment.
• Respond to warranty calls and support issue resolution.
• Keep customers informed of progress, findings and issues as needed.
• Provide recommendations and practical solutions to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Prepare quotes to support recommendations and proposed solutions.
• Support a professional, customer-focused service experience at every stage of the job.
