TJ Properties is seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to perform service calls on gas forced air heating and central air conditioning in residential homes around Philadelphia. You will diagnose, service, repair, and install HVAC systems, with EPA certification required for refrigerant handling.

A valid driver’s license and the ability to lift and climb ladders are essential. This contracting role offers proximity to multiple service locations and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Past experience as HVAC service technician or comparable education.
• EPA certification to order and install refrigerant.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to climb ladders.

Responsibilities

• Perform service calls for HVAC repair and installation in residential homes.
• Repair or service HVAC systems to improve efficiency (filters, ducts, refrigerants).
• Establish rapport to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Test pipe or tubing joints for leaks using a pressure gauge or soap-and-water solution.
• Test electrical circuits or components for continuity.
• Repair or replace defective equipment and wiring.
• Order and install refrigerant with EPA certification.
