Qualifications

• 5+ years of related HVAC service experience or equivalent education/experience.
• EPA Universal Certification preferred; OSHA 10 certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record and travel readiness.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance of commercial HVAC equipment including logging, cleaning coils, belts, filters and lubrication.
• Repair and replacement of defective equipment, wiring and components for fan coils, chillers, boilers and AHUs.
• Inspect equipment to prevent breakdowns and analyze chiller trend data for performance.
• Lead rebuilds and retrofits; mentor Levels I and II technicians during tasks.
• Record billing, timecards and reports and communicate status to customers.
• Explain technical information to technical and non-technical audiences; follow safety policies.
• Participate in training and maintain required certifications; ensure clean work area.

Come be part of an exciting journey at Daikin Applied, where innovation and excellence drive everything we do!**Location:**Richmond, VA**Your Responsibilities:*** Perform maintenance of commercial HVAC equipment including logging machines, cleaning coils, brushing tubes, replacing filters, replacing belts and proper lubrication* Repair and replacement of defective equipment, components, or wiring related to fan coils, chillers, water source heat pumps, applied air handling units, rooftop units, cooling towers, and condenser tubes* Maintain and inspect equipment to identify potential problems to prevent premature and unexpected breakdowns or callbacks* Analyze chiller trend data to ensure optimal performance* Perform warranty service application by inspecting and testing systems to verify functionality of HVAC equipment and components* Lead the rebuild and retrofit of commercial HVAC equipment. Direct technician Levels I and II through hands-on demonstration of the necessary steps and introduce centrifugal rebuilds.* Record and report billing, inventory, timecards, technician tip reports, and other articles as required and in a timely manner* Interact with customers by offering status reports of service before, during, and after each call Explain technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences* Participate in available training through regional technician trainers, off-site learning modules, and Daikin Learning. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls.
