Job summary

Daikin Applied, the world’s largest HVAC company, seeks a full-time HVAC Service Technician II/III to diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial equipment. You will service rooftop units, chillers, boilers, and air handling systems, expanding duties with experience.

You will mentor Level I technicians, participate in training, and ensure safety and quality on every call. The role offers training programs, company vehicle, and opportunities to grow within a leading innovator in HVAC.

Qualifications

• 3+ years related experience with increasing responsibility for Tech II.
• 5+ years or 7+ years for Tech III; or equivalent combo of education and experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• HVAC certificate or equivalent education/experience.
• Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
• Rotational Emergency Call Support as required.
• Work visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance for commercial/industrial HVAC equipment.
• Maintain and inspect equipment to prevent breakdowns or callbacks.
• Inspect and test systems for warranty service applications.
• Lead Level I technicians through hands-on demonstrations.
• Assist in centrifugal rebuilds and retrofits under senior guidance.
• Record billing, inventory, timecards, and reports timely.
• Provide clear status updates to customers before, during, and after calls.
• Participate in regional training and maintain required certifications.
• Maintain clean work areas and follow safety policies.

Daikin Applied is seeking a full-timeHVAC Service Technician II/III. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance for commercial and industrial HVAC equipment. The responsibilities will increase based on exposure to tasks, ability to develop troubleshooting skill set, and consistent and accurate completion of assignments. The HVAC equipment you will be servicing includes but is not limited to large and small rooftop units, split systems, chillers, and boilers. Location:

Amarillo, TX, Lubbock, TX - Onsite

What you will do:

• Perform maintenance of commercial HVAC equipment including logging machines, cleaning coils, brushing tubes, replacing filters, replacing belts and proper lubrication

• Repair and replacement of defective equipment, components, or wiring related to fan coils, water source heat pumps, applied air handling units, rooftop units, cooling towers, and condenser tubes

• Maintain and inspect equipment to identify potential problems to prevent premature and unexpected breakdowns or callbacks

• Perform warranty service application by inspecting and testing systems to verify functionality of HVAC equipment and components

• Direct Level I technicians through hands‑on demonstrations of all necessary steps to troubleshoot and repair equipment

• Introduction to centrifugal rebuilds from Lead and Level III technicians

• Record and report billing, inventory, timecards, technician tip reports, and other articles as required and in a timely manner

• Interact with customers by offering status reports of service before, during, and after each call Explain technical information to both technical and non‑technical audiences

• Participate in available training through regional technician trainers, off‑site learning modules, and Daikin Learning. Maintain all required certifications and continue to develop new skill sets

• Ensure standards, policies, procedures, and maintenance of a clean work area are always upheld

• Follow all OSHA and Daikin Applied safety policies and procedures

• Tech III: Lead the rebuild and retrofit of commercial HVAC equipment. Direct technician Levels I and II through hands‑on demonstration of the necessary steps and introduce centrifugal rebuilds.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Service Tech II: 3+ years related experience with increasing responsibility or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Service Tech III: 5+ years related experience with increasing responsibility; or 7+ related experience;or equivalent combination of education and experience

• High School Diploma or GED

• Technical school with HVAC certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record

• Rotational Emergency Call Support as required

• Required license(s) and/or training card as required by local law district

• Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Preferred Qualifications:

• Commercial HVAC Industry Experience

• EPA approved Universal Technician Certification

• OSHA 10 within 90 days of hire (Daikin provides this training during onboarding process)

• Current first aid / CPR card

Service Technician II: The typical hourly pay rate for this position ranges from$27.60 - $44.29 in TX.

Service Technician III:The typical hourly pay rate for this position ranges from$31.60 - $50.37 in TX

Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
