Job summary

Daikin Applied seeks a full-time Service Technician II in San Antonio, TX, to diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on commercial HVAC systems including rooftop units, chillers, and boilers. You will lead Level I technicians and collaborate with Lead and Level III staff on centrifugal rebuilds, while reporting billing and inventory details.

Your role requires 3+ years of related experience, HVAC certs, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work onsite.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years related experience with increasing responsibility or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Technical school with HVAC certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record.
  • Rotational Emergency Call Support as required.
  • Required license(s) and/or training card as required by local law district.
  • Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance of commercial HVAC equipment including logging machines, cleaning coils, brushing tubes, replacing filters, belts and lubrication.
  • Repair and replacement of defective equipment, components, or wiring related to fan coils, water source heat pumps, applied air handling units, rooftop units, cooling towers, and condenser tubes.
  • Maintain and inspect equipment to identify potential problems to prevent breakdowns or callbacks.
  • Perform warranty service application by inspecting and testing systems to verify functionality of HVAC equipment and components.
  • Direct Level I technicians through hands‑on demonstrations of all necessary steps to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
  • Introduction to centrifugal rebuilds from Lead and Level III technicians.
  • Record and report billing, inventory, timecards, technician tip reports, and other articles as required and in a timely manner.
  • Interact with customers by offering status reports of service before, during, and after each call and explaining technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Participate in available training through regional technician trainers, off‑site learning modules, and Daikin Learning; maintain all required certifications and continue to develop new skill sets.
  • Ensure standards, policies, procedures, and maintenance of a clean work area are always upheld.
  • Follow all OSHA and Daikin Applied safety policies and procedures.

Daikin Applied is seeking a full-time Service Technician II . In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance for commercial and industrial HVAC equipment. What you will do:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 3+ years related experience with increasing responsibility or equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Commercial HVAC Industry Experience
  • EPA approved Universal Technician Certification
  • OSHA 10 within 90 days of hire (Daikin provides this training during onboarding process)
  • Current first aid / CPR card

The typical hourly pay rate for this position ranges from $27.60 - $44.29 in Texas . The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment requirements, including verification of employment history, education, background screening, and drug testing where permitted by law. Safety-sensitive positions may require cannabis (marijuana) testing. All testing and employment decisions will comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
