Job summary

Daikin Applied in Tampa, FL is seeking a full-time HVAC Service Technician I to service commercial and industrial equipment onsite. You’ll gain hands-on training across in-person, online, and on-the-job programs while working on rooftops, chillers, boilers, and air handling units.

• Associate’s degree or technical school with an HVAC certificate (preferred)
• 0-2 years of related work experience
• Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
• Rotational Emergency Call Support availability as required
• EPA approved Universal Technician Certification (preferred)
• OSHA 10 within 90 days of hire (training provided during onboarding)
• Current first aid / CPR card (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Assist and perform maintenance of commercial HVAC equipment including cleaning coils, adjusting belts, and lubrication
• Repair and replacement of defective equipment and components in various HVAC systems
• Inspect equipment to prevent breakdowns and callbacks
• Record and report billing, inventory, and timecards promptly
• Explain technical information to customers, both technical and non-technical
• Participate in ongoing Daikin Learning and regional training programs
• Maintain safety standards and clean work area; follow OSHA and Daikin policies

Your Responsibilities:

Assist and perform maintenance of commercial HVAC equipment including logging machines, cleaning coils, brushing tubes, replacing filters, replacing belts and proper lubrication Assist in the repair and replacement of defective equipment, components, or wiring related to fan coils, water source heat pumps, applied air handling units, rooftop units, cooling towers, and condenser tubes Maintain and inspect equipment to identify potential problems to prevent premature and unexpected breakdowns or callbacks Assist with warranty service application by inspecting and testing systems to verify functionality of HVAC equipment and components Record and report billing, inventory, timecards, technician tip reports, and other articles as required and in a timely manner Interact with customers by offering status reports of service before, during, and after each call Explain technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences Participate in available training through regional technician trainers, off-site learning modules, and Daikin Learning. Maintain all required certifications and continue to develop new skill sets Ensure standards, policies, procedures, and maintenance of a clean work area are always upheld Follow all OSHA and Daikin Applied safety policies and procedures

Your Qualifications:

The typical hourly pay rate for this position ranges from $20.80 - $ 33.27 in Florida. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
