Job summary

Daikin Applied in Orlando, FL is hiring a full-time HVAC Service Technician I to service commercial and industrial equipment on-site. You will perform routine maintenance, assist in repairs, and ensure systems operate efficiently while communicating with customers and documenting work orders.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, HVAC certificate preferred, and 0–2 years of related experience with a valid driver’s license. On-the-job training and safety policies are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Associate's degree or HVAC certificate is preferred.
• 0-2 years of related work experience.
• Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record.
• Rotational Emergency Call Support availability as required.
• Licensing/training as required by local law district.
• Commercial HVAC industry experience (preferred).
• EPA approved Universal Technician Certification (preferred).
• OSHA 10 within 90 days of hire (provided during onboarding).
• Current first aid / CPR card (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist and perform maintenance of commercial HVAC equipment including logging machines, cleaning coils, brushing tubes, replacing filters, replacing belts and proper lubrication.
• Assist in the repair and replacement of defective equipment, components, or wiring related to fan coils, heat pumps, AHUs, rooftops, cooling towers, and condenser tubes.
• Maintain and inspect equipment to identify potential problems to prevent breakdowns or callbacks.
• Assist with warranty service inspection by testing systems to verify functionality of HVAC equipment and components.
• Record and report billing, inventory, timecards, technician tips, and other articles promptly.
• Interact with customers by providing status reports and explaining technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Participate in available training through trainers and on-demand modules; maintain required certifications.
• Maintain clean work area and follow safety policies and procedures.
• Follow OSHA and Daikin Applied safety policies.

Location:Orlando, FL. - Onsite

Your Responsibilities:

• Assist and perform maintenance of commercial HVAC equipment including logging machines, cleaning coils, brushing tubes, replacing filters, replacing belts and proper lubrication


• Assist in the repair and replacement of defective equipment, components, or wiring related to fan coils, water source heat pumps, applied air handling units, rooftop units, cooling towers, and condenser tubes


• Maintain and inspect equipment to identify potential problems to prevent premature and unexpected breakdowns or callbacks


• Assist with warranty service application by inspecting and testing systems to verify functionality of HVAC equipment and components


• Record and report billing, inventory, timecards, technician tip reports, and other articles as required and in a timely manner


• Interact with customers by offering status reports of service before, during, and after each call Explain technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences


• Participate in available training through regional technician trainers, off-site learning modules, and Daikin Learning. Maintain all required certifications and continue to develop new skill sets


• Ensure standards, policies, procedures, and maintenance of a clean work area are always upheld


• Follow all OSHA and Daikin Applied safety policies and procedures

Your Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED


• Associate's degree or technical school with an HVAC certificate (preferred)


• 0-2 years of related work experience

The typical hourly pay rate for this position ranges from $20.80 - $ 33.27 in Florida. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Safety-sensitive positions may require cannabis (marijuana) testing. All testing and employment decisions will comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
