Job summary

DEAR Services LLC in Kent, WA seeks a full-time HVAC Service Technician to evaluate, repair, and maintain heating and cooling systems at customer sites. You’ll travel locally, diagnose issues, perform hands-on repairs, and ensure optimal performance.

The role demands strong mechanical aptitude, completion of apprenticeship or vocational training, and a proactive, customer-focused approach. 2+ years’ experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude with extensive knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment.
• Completion of an apprenticeship or some vocational/technical school training.
• Comfort using hand tools, power tools, testing devices, pressure gauges, and other industry instruments.
• Ability to read and accurately follow operational and repair manuals.
• High school degree or equivalent.
• Physical ability to service heating and air conditioning units, including kneeling, crawling, lifting 50 lbs, climbing ladders, and working in extreme cold or heat conditions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Professional communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and diagnose HVAC systems at customer sites.
• Perform repairs, routine maintenance, and system replacements.
• Read and follow manufacturer manuals and blueprints.
• Maintain tools and work area, order parts as needed.
