Job summary

Teksky LLC in New York State is seeking a Service Technician with a strong mechanical background and HVAC systems experience, including ductwork and piping assemblies, low-voltage wiring, and schematic review.

You will lead by coordinating with General Contractors and trades, travel to job sites, provide excellent customer service, and help establish project direction while advancing your career with our growing team.

Qualifications

• HVAC degree or substantial field experience in service.
• EPA and IGSPA certifications required or preferred.
• Defensive driving experience is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities

• Work effectively in a team and make sound decisions as required.
• Read and interpret P&IDs.
• Interface with customers on job sites and provide excellent service.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures using root cause analysis and propose solutions.

Job description

An established and growing HVAC company is seeking a Service Technician with a strong mechanical background and expertise in HVAC systems ductwork piping assemblies low-voltage wiring and schematic review. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment including setting daily tasks coordinating with General Contractors and other trades and helping establish project direction. Must be willing to travel to job sites and provide basic hand tools. Opportunities for career growth and advancement are available.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work effectively in a team environment and make sound decisions as required.
• Read and interpret Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
• Interface with customers at job sites and provide excellent customer service.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures using root cause analysis and recommend solutions to prevent recurring issues.
• Take ownership of corrective actions and follow through to resolution.
• Demonstrate a strong willingness to learn new technologies practices and industry standards.
• Maintain a working telephone and be available to respond to call-ins.

General Requirements:

• Maintain a safe work environment and demonstrate strong safety awareness at all times.
• HVAC two-year degree or 5+ years of field experience preferably in a service department.
• EPA Certification.
• IGSPA Certification.
• Defensive driving course preferred.
• Must complete and pass required field driving certification.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic experience.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
