Job summary

Kelso Industries is hiring an experienced HVAC Service Technician to diagnose and repair a range of commercial and residential HVAC systems, from rooftop units to heat pumps. You will ensure safety standards and codes are met while maintaining thorough service records.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in HVAC service, VRF systems experience, and EPA 608 certification. A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to job sites are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years as HVAC Service Technician or similar role.
• EPA 608 certification is required.
• Proficient reading and interpretation of schematics and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair HVAC systems including rooftop units, split systems, boilers, chillers, and heat pumps.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections for optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues in HVAC equipment.
• Replace or repair defective components such as motors, compressors, fans, and thermostats.
• Interpret wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
• Communicate service findings and recommendations to clients and team.
• Maintain accurate service records of work performed and parts used.

About The Role

Rowbel Services is looking for an experienced HVAC Service Tech to join our team. In this role, you'll be the expert our clients rely on — diagnosing problems quickly, performing quality repairs, and keeping commercial and residential systems running at peak performance. What You'll Do

• Diagnose and repair HVAC systems, including rooftop units, split systems, boilers, chillers, and heat pumps.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal system performance and longevity.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues in HVAC equipment.
• Replace or repair defective components such as motors, compressors, fans, and thermostats.
• Interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding service findings and recommendations.
• Maintain accurate service records, including work performed, parts used, and system conditions.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards, building codes, and company policies.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as an HVAC Service Technician or in a similar role.
• Proficiency with VRF Systems and light commercial work.
• EPA 608 certification.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, electrical circuits, and mechanical components.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred

• NATE certification or equivalent.
• Familiarity with digital service tools and mobile work order platforms.

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly Rate: Up to $50/hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
