Job summary
somewhere NYC is seeking a service technician to diagnose commercial HVAC systems, focusing on VRF/VRV platforms. This role is primarily service and diagnostics, not new installs, with opportunities to handle complex fault finding. You will be based in Brooklyn, NY and work in‑person.
The position requires EPA 608 certification, a valid NYS driver’s license, and 3+ years of hands‑on commercial HVAC experience with VRF systems. Training on Mitsubishi City Multi and Daikin VRV/VRF is a plus.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of commercial HVAC service experience.
- EPA 608 Certification required.
- Valid NYS driver’s license required.
- Experience with VRF/VRV systems (e.g., Mitsubishi City Multi, Daikin VRV/VRF).
Responsibilities
- HVAC/VRF installation, diagnosis, repair, and commissioning of residential and commercial systems.
- Troubleshoot complex faults including branch controller malfunctions and control logic issues.
- Interpret wiring diagrams and use service tools for diagnostics.
- Execute system startups, data collection, and refrigerant diagnostics to optimize efficiency.
- Document faults and present service options to clients using ServiceTitan.
