Jennings Mechanical in Charleston, SC (serving Charleston & Orangeburg) is seeking Commercial HVAC Service Technicians of all experience levels to join our growing service team. We offer hands-on training, opportunities for advancement, and a culture that values safety and dependable customer service.

You will diagnose, maintain, repair, and service a variety of DX, chilled water, hydronic systems, and controls, with mentorship and potential leadership responsibilities based on experience.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required; HVAC trade school or technical training preferred.
• HVAC service experience ranging from entry-level to extensive commercial HVAC expertise.
• EPA Section 608 certification required for experienced technicians; entry-level candidates must obtain certification within 90 days.
• Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn, develop technical skills, and solve problems.
• Knowledge of HVAC equipment, system components, and controls appropriate to experience level; ability to work alone or in a team.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to excellent customer service.
• Valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
• Commitment to workplace safety, quality workmanship, and professionalism.

Responsabilidades

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC systems and equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance, system inspections, and performance testing.
• Work with DX systems, chilled water and hydronic systems, pumps, VFDs, and controls.
• Assist with installations, repairs, and service projects following safety standards.
• Communicate with customers about issues, repairs, and solutions.
• Maintain service tickets, estimates, and documentation.
• Collaborate with technicians and service managers to deliver quality service.
• Mentor less-experienced technicians and provide technical guidance as appropriate.

What You'll Do

Responsibilities will vary based on your experience and skill level and may include:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC systems and equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance, system inspections, and performance testing.
• Work with a variety of equipment and components, including DX systems, chilled water and hot water systems, hydronic components, pumps, VFDs, and HVAC controls.
• Support installations, repairs, and service projects while following established quality and safety standards.
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding equipment issues, recommended repairs, and solutions.
• Maintain accurate service tickets, job estimates, and other required documentation.
• Collaborate with fellow technicians, service managers, and other team members to deliver reliable, high-quality service.
• Depending on experience, assist with training and mentoring less-experienced technicians, troubleshooting complex systems, and providing technical guidance.

What We're Looking For
