Job summary

AdventHealth in Winter Garden, FL, seeks a full-time HVAC technician for the day shift. The technician will maintain and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across the facility and support related trades.

Responsibilities include developing preventive maintenance schedules, coordinating with outside contractors, and responding to emergencies. Candidates should have at least 5+ years HVAC/R experience, healthcare maintenance exposure, and strong English and basic Microsoft

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years healthcare maintenance experience preferred.
• 5+ years HVAC/R experience required.
• 3+ years commercial experience preferred.

• Complies with healthcare, federal, state, and local rules and regulations.

Job Description:

Shift: Mon-Friday 7:00am-1530

Complies with healthcare, federal, state, and local rules and regulations. Develops and implements departmental equipment procedures for power outages. Installs, inspects, maintains, repairs, and performs preventive maintenance on all heating, air conditioning, and ventilation systems. Prepares the preventive maintenance schedule and produces reports. Coordinates and performs electrical equipment maintenance, installations, and modifications per all applicable codes and regulations. Assists in the operation and general maintenance of painting, plumbing, HVAC, locksmith, and alarm systems, overseeing essential repairs and other duties. Troubleshoots, tests, and repairs mechanical machinery, equipment, systems, and physical structures as scheduled or needed under limited guidance. Monitors work performed by outside contractors to ensure requirements are met and results are documented properly. Responds to in-house work orders and preventive maintenance tasks. Responds to emergency calls and takes call in accordance with facility needs. Provides on-the-job skills training. Supports and contributes to the development of new processes, products, or services. Other duties as assigned.

• Ability to identify equipment needs, parts and supplies, and maintain adequate inventory. [Required]

• Ability to generate requisitions for materials and supplies. [Required]

Education:

High School/Equivalent grad OR 5+ years experience [Required]

Work Experience:

• 2+ years of healthcare maintenance experience [Preferred]
• 5+ years of hvac/r experience [Required]
• 3+ years commercial experience [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:
