Job summary

Tremco Construction Products Group seeks a Design Engineer to assess project requirements, gather field data, determine design needs, select equipment, and draft HVAC restoration projects. This role blends engineering expertise with drafting to ensure projects are planned and constructed effectively.

The candidate will conduct on-site assessments, design HVAC restoration solutions, draft construction documents, and assist sales with scope reviews. Relocation to Clearwater, FL is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of industry-specific experience.
• Experience with AutoCAD drafting.
• EI certification with ability to obtain a PE license preferred.
• Experience with VBA or C#.
• Experience with cloud-based platforms (Pro-Core, E-Builder, iAuditor).
• Willingness to travel out of state up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Conducts on-site visits and assessments to understand scope and technical requirements of projects.
• Determines scope and designs HVAC restoration solutions via site visits and coordination with owner/facility staff.
• Drafts construction documents and generates specifications for HVAC restoration projects.
• Utilizes in-house estimating tools to create project budgets.
• Assists sales with scope reviews and provides technical guidance during construction.
