Job summary

Northrop Grumman in California seeks an experienced HVAC technician to install, overhaul, service and maintain air conditioning, heating, refrigeration and related equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance, align energy management systems, install ductwork, calibrate controls, and document maintenance activities while complying with OSHA and safety rules.

This role requires EPA refrigerant handling certification, a California driver license, and the ability to work at heights and follow

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma; college or trade school with 30 units in HVAC.
• Approximately six years of industrial or commercial HVAC experience.
• EPA refrigerant handling certification required.
• Valid California driverFs license required.
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, overhauls and repairs on HVAC/R equipment, including gas-fired furnaces, gas-fired hot water boilers, chillers, condensing units, freezers and related controls.
• Fabricate and install ductwork for HVAC system installation.
• Inspect, adjust and calibrate heating, cooling and refrigeration equipment and controls to ensure efficient operation.
• Operate power tools and troubleshoot electrical/electronic panels and energy management systems.
• Document maintenance records and comply with OSHA and safety regulations; work safely at height.
