Job summary

Nextech seeks an HVAC/R Technician to deliver reliable, high-quality service to commercial clients. You’ll troubleshoot, repair, install, and perform preventive maintenance, operating with a company-equipped vehicle and iPads for documentation.

Minimum 2 years’ HVAC/R experience, EPA certification, and a valid driver’s license are required. On-site travel and after-hours work may be involved.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years recent experience as an HVAC/R field technician.
• Journeyman license may be required in some states.
• EPA certification and a valid driver’s license.
• Reading and interpreting schematics and work plans.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair HVAC/R systems including electrical and mechanical components.
• Perform maintenance and emergency service, including after-hours rotations.
• Document service details using company-provided iPads.
• Maintain vehicle, tools, and parts inventory to high standards.
• Communicate with customers and dispatch for scheduling and service delivery.
• Identify additional service opportunities and share with customers.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Nextech HVAC/R Technician, you’ll play a key role in delivering reliable, high-quality service to commercial clients. From troubleshooting to repairs, installations, and preventive maintenance — you’re the expert our customers trust.

Here’s what your day could look like:

• Diagnose and repair HVAC/R systems, including electrical, mechanical, and electronic components
• Perform maintenance and emergency service as needed, including after-hours on-call rotations
• Accurately document all service details using company-provided iPads
• Maintain your company vehicle, tools, and parts inventory to the highest standards
• Communicate clearly with customers and dispatch to ensure smooth scheduling and service delivery
• Identify additional service opportunities and share them with customers

Min Compensation

USD $30.00/Hr.

Max Compensation

USD $42.00/Hr.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience as an HVAC/R field technician
  • May require a Journeyman's License in some states
  • May require state specific licenses
• EPA certification and a valid driver’s license
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and work plans
• Basic comfort with mobile apps and technology
• A strong work ethic, positive attitude and commitment to quality
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends or holidays when needed

Physical Requirements

This is a physically active role. You should be able to:

• Must be able to safely work at heights using ladders up to 28–32 feet and operate equipment within manufacturer weight limits
• Must be able to lift, carry and maneuver tools and equipment, including extension ladders up to 100 lbs
• Must be able to bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach into confined spaces and perform twisting, pushing and pulling tasks
• Must maintain physical stamina and endurance for repetitive tasks and extended activity
• Must be able to stand, sit, walk and climb ladders throughout the day
• Must use vision, hearing and verbal communication continuously
• Must operate work-related equipment such as iPads, cell phones and computers
• Must be able to travel to customer sites as needed
• Required to occasionally work in an office environment
• Required to follow all applicable safety procedures
