Job summary

Nextech, the leading HVAC/R service provider in the U.S., is hiring an HVAC/R Technician in Chandler. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC/R systems for commercial clients, using iPads to document work and coordinating with dispatch for efficient service delivery.

You’ll work from a company vehicle, with on-call shifts and opportunities for bonuses. This role requires a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years’ experience, EPA certification, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 2+ years of recent HVAC/R field technician experience.
• Journeyman’s license may be required in some states.
• EPA certification and a valid driver’s license are required.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills and ability to read schematics.
• Comfort with mobile apps and technology; willingness to overtime, weekends or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair HVAC/R systems including electrical, mechanical, and electronic components.
• Perform maintenance and emergency service; participate in after-hours on-call rotations.
• Document service details using iPads and company systems.
• Maintain vehicle, tools, and parts inventory to high standards.
• Communicate clearly with customers and dispatch for scheduling and delivery.
• Identify additional service opportunities and discuss with customers.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Nextech HVAC/R Technician, you’ll play a key role in delivering reliable, high-quality service to commercial clients. From troubleshooting to repairs, installations, and preventive maintenance - you’re the expert our customers trust.

Here’s what your day could look like:

• Diagnose and repair HVAC/R systems, including electrical, mechanical, and electronic components
• Perform maintenance and emergency service as needed, including after-hours on-call rotations
• Accurately document all service details using company-provided iPads
• Maintain your company vehicle, tools, and parts inventory to the highest standards
• Communicate clearly with customers and dispatch to ensure smooth scheduling and service delivery

Min Compensation

USD $23.29/Hr.

Max Compensation

USD $35.00/Hr.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience as an HVAC/R field technician
  • May require a Journeyman's License in some states
  • May require state specific licenses
• EPA certification and a valid driver’s license
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and work plans
• Basic comfort with mobile apps and technology
• A strong work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to quality
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or holidays when needed

Physical Requirements

This is a physically active role. You should be able to:

• Must be able to safely work at heights using ladders up to 28-32 feet and operate equipment within manufacturer weight limits
• Must be able to lift, carry, and maneuver tools and equipment, including extension ladders, up to 100 lbs
• Must be able to bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach into confined spaces, and perform twisting, pushing, and pulling tasks
• Must maintain physical stamina and endurance for repetitive tasks and extended activity
• Must be able to stand, sit, walk, and climb ladders throughout the day
• Must use vision, hearing, and verbal communication continuously
• Must operate work-related equipment such as iPads, cell phones, and computers
• Must be able to travel to customer sites as needed
• Required to occasionally work in an office environment
• Required to follow all applicable safety procedures
