Job summary

CoolSys is hiring a Service Tech - HVAC to perform maintenance, repair, and installation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems at customer sites. You will troubleshoot complex HVAC issues, guide junior technicians, and ensure systems run efficiently.

We offer competitive compensation from $25 to $50 per hour based on experience, plus a sign-on bonus up to $3,000,000? Wait, bonus is up to $3,000 based on experience.

Qualifications

• EPA certification is required.
• 3–5 years of construction HVAC, refrigeration, or related industry experience.
• Chiller experience is required.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical control systems is required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose commercial HVAC units at our customers' sites.
• Service commercial HVAC equipment.
• Change compressors, fans and reclaim refrigerant.
• Maintain legible records of work history.
• Report to work in a timely manner as scheduled by supervisor.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Service Tech - HVAC performs maintenance, repair, and installation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This position is responsible for troubleshooting complex HVAC issues, guiding junior technicians, and ensuring systems are running efficiently.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose commercial HVAC units at our customers' sites.
• Service commercial HVAC
• Change compressors, fans and reclaim refrigerant.
• Maintain legible records of work history.
• Ability to report to work in a timely manner as scheduled by supervisor.
• Have experience working with commercial rooftop and air package units as well as rack air condition units.
• Experience with chillers, must have ice machine and walk in experience

Education / Training

• EPA certification required
• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in construction HVAC, Refrigeration, or a related industry
• Must have chiller experience.
• Experience in troubleshooting electrical control systems is required

Work Experience & Skills

• Knowledge of hand and power tools.
• Knowledge of refrigeration equipment and piping of refrigeration equipment.
• Knowledge of computer-controlled systems.
• Experience with chillers, must have ice machine and walk in experience
• Ability to read and understand refrigeration, electrical and plumbing blueprints.
• Ability to pump down all refrigeration systems and reclaim refrigerant from all types of systems.
• Good communication and presentation skills and excellent customer servic e.
• Ability to understand and follow all company policies and procedures and all applicable State and Federal laws.
• Ability to use typical business tools including E-Mail, Word, Excel, etc.

Work Environment:

This job typically operates in convenience stores, grocery stores, food service and/or construction environment with need to work at heights from ladders and/or Scissor lifts. Mechanical rooms can have elevated noise levels. The position regularly works near/with refrigeration/HVAC equipment that can expose the workers to extreme cold from refrigerant and high heat from brazing operations. This role routinely works in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust. These conditions require employees to use the correct PPE and safe work practices.

Physical Demands:

This position is very active and requires excellent stamina to perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. Employees are regularly required to walk and stand for long periods, hear, drive, sit, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, use hands and fingers, and lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
