Job summary

Walmart in Fishers, IN is seeking a Developmental Technician specializing in Refrigeration and HVAC Maintenance to join our facilities team. This full-time role supports store operations by maintaining, inspecting, and repairing refrigeration and HVAC systems under supervision.

The position requires lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, working at heights and in varying temperatures, with a valid driver’s license and EPA refrigerant handling certifications. Competitive benefits included.

Qualifications

• Hold and maintain EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• Option 1: 1 year’s experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• Option 2: 2 years’ Walmart store experience.
• EPA 608 Certification within 90 days of hire.
• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five years.
• Commercial driving record with no more than two moving violations in the last three years.
• No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years.

Responsibilities

• All primary responsibilities will be assisted or performed under the direct supervision of an experienced technician.
• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets by utilizing multiple craft skills (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, and food equipment) and using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive reactive repair Work Orders to support Stores and Store associates and document repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspecting, operating, or testing facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training requirements to operate equipment and tools safely.
