St. Joseph School District is seeking a Maintenance Technician for HVAC preventative maintenance within the Maintenance & Operations team.
The role involves retrofitting lighting systems as instructed by the Director of Maintenance and Operations or their appointee, and requires a strong foundation in electrical and mechanical tasks. The position is non-exempt with a 12-month term, reporting to the Coordinator of Maintenance & Warehousing.

Qualifications: Required: High school education or equivalent. A good working knowledge of basic electrical and general mechanical skills are preferred. Must be Asbestos certified, HVAC certified and have boiler experience. Must be able to work from ladders, scaffolds, and air lifts. Physically able to perform the specific job. Able to lift fifty (50) pounds or more. Able to work in cold and hot temperatures. Must be able to work from job work orders, specifications, drawings, etc. Must have and maintain valid driver\'s license and clean driving record. Must have good planning and organizational skills. Success completion of a background check, physical capacity assessment, and drug screen prior to start date.

Purpose: This person is responsible for the retrofitting of lighting systems for buildings of the School District of St. Joseph as instructed by the Director of Maintenance and Operations or his appointed Representative.
